Capital raising is hard. It's just as much art as it is science. However, a good deck doesn't mean anything without a solid business. A strong business with a clear vision makes both the founder's and investors' jobs much easier.

Too often, a deck is met with a "yes" or "no," rather than being the start of a meaningful conversation about the business as a whole.

My hope with "Send me your deck" is just that: to start a meaningful discussion about the underlying business while helping founders navigate the 7 'buckets' of investment founders can tap into and the abundance of capital structures. So no wonder the process can be slightly overwhelming.

So, what am I looking for? Any and all decks from all stages across retail, e-commerce and B2B.

ABOUT

I'm Brad, an ex-professional AFL player and exited founder with CitrusAd in 2021. Since 2010, I've raised 16 rounds of capital spanning 300+ meetings, raising pre-seed to Series B, convertible notes and of course, good old fashioned debt . All of which lead to a $205m exit.

I started Founder Therapy as a way to share my own experience across the journey and do what I love: learning and talking to interesting people who are looking to change the world.

"Send me your deck" is a regular segment we'll be running on the podcast. It gives me a new way to hear from interesting people and explore exciting deals with my network of angels, VCs who cover Series A and beyond, and myself, of course.

I've had my ride as a founder and now I want to be sharing my experience and investing in the next generation of founders.
